Charles Movalli Retrospective at the NSAA is hung!

Wow! The nearly 100 paintings are hung and ready for everyone to enjoy for a preview this Friday, September 15th from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. This show is going to be a blockbuster, not-to-miss event. These are all different paintings from the show earlier this year at the Cape Ann Museum, a testament to Charles's prolific and versatile output.

The show opens officially on September 17th at 12 p.m.

Special thanks to the crew of people helping to get the paintings over to the North Shore Arts Association and getting the hanging of the show underway. In the photos are Mike and Pam Graves, and Larry and Marilyn Swift.

Setting up the Cape Ann Museum show

We're beyond excited to share this amazing body of work at the Cape Ann Museum in Gloucester. Big thanks to Martha Oaks and Leon Doucette at the museum for all their help with getting this off the ground.  Incidentally, we'll be following the Jeremy Adams show which has been up since December; Jeremy is a longtime friend, and his instrument making and woodworking talents are second to none.

Charles' passing marked in the Gloucester Daily Times

A front-page feature article on Charles was featured in the Gloucester Daily Times, written by the lovely Gail McCarthy, staff writer. We are very grateful for Gail's (and the Times) thoughtful writing and attention to detail in the piece, as well as the many articles about Charles by her and other writers that have appeared in the GDT over the years.
